PENTECOST (FACTUS EST REPENTE)
DRAWING by DANIEL MITSUI
This drawing depicts the descent of the Holy Ghost at Pentecost on the Apostles and the Virgin Mary. The scene is surrounded by a decorative border of sea shells. Below I wrote in calligraphy the words Factus Est Repente, the beginning of the Communion chant for Pentecost Sunday: And suddenly there came a sound from Heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting, Alleluia. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, speaking the wonderful works of God, Alleluia.
