This print displays the first words of the Apostles’ Creed in Latin: Credo in Deum Patrem Omnipotentem, or I believe in God, the Father Almighty. These words are spelled out in orthogonal letters, filled with the knot, braid, and spiral patterns typical of early medieval Northumbro-Irish (Celtic) art.
