This depicts the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ, with the Blessed Virin Mary and John the Apostle at the foot of the Cross. The sun and the moon, traditional symbols of the new and old covenants, appear to mourn in darkness. In the border I drew millefleur patterns and a miniature scene of priest celebrating Mass. The blackletter inscription is Corpus et Sanguis, or Body and Blood.
