I formatted this as an historiated initial M containing figures of the Archangel Gabriel and the Blessed Virgin Mary at the moment of the Annunciation. The text is Gabriel’s salutation:
Ave Maria, gratia plena. Dominus tecum.Mary holds a distaff, indicating that she was at work sewing the veil of the Temple.
Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee.
